This image made me realize that visuals can evoke physical sensations. I came across this poster while flipping through
Extreme Design by Spencer Drate and Jütka Salavetz. This "Sensation Poster" was designed for The Royal Academy of Arts by Why Not Associates. It almost makes you want to wince just upon first glance. The similar triangular shapes with two points touching, one scalding hot metal, one fleshy sensitive organ, and the large text for the word "SENSATION" creates an immediate feel for the viewer. This is a very aggressive and bold visual, which grabbed my attention. The black background with the white text also sticks out and demands attention. Overall, the image serves it's purpose very well.
